Case Study #2 This patient came to our center with a recent mammogram that was considered watchful for an area in the left breast. A follow-up ultrasound of the left breast was also watchful for the same area. The report recommended a follow-up mammogram in 6 months to monitor the finding in the left breast. The subject of this case study, which included the use of ultrasound to guide biopsy, was a 39 year old female, gravida one, 38 weeks gestation. She presented with a non-tender mobile breast lump in the right upper outer quadrant of her breast. The lady had noticed an area of hardening breast tissue over the previous month.
